Credi is an Australian financial technology platform that changes the way people lend to each other, by providing them with a platform to create, negotiate and accept loan agreements with the people they know and trust.
After researching opportunities for foreign markets, Credi CEO Tim Dean engaged the Newfound team to deliver a bespoke scoping mission to London to help him reach a decision of whether or not to expand into the UK
HOSTING AND MEETINGS
The Newfound team hosted and guided Tim on his London visit. Leveraging our trusted network, we built a customised five-day programme of 15 meetings, including with potential customers, partners, investors, professional service providers, The Financial Conduct Authority regulator and consumer technology experts.
Tim was able to establish first hand from experts in the field that there was indeed significant market potential for Credi in the UK. The process helped Tim to form invaluable relationships with the people he needed to make the move a success. Notably, the Newfound team introduced Tim to several high net-worth individuals who had shown an interest in investing the capital Credi would need to expand overseas.
AN INFORMED DECISION
At the end of the mission, Newfound delivered a wrap-up meeting and planning workshop. As a result, Tim was able to make an informed decision and moved ahead to establish Credi as a UK entity, hire a strong local commercial team, with a view to move its HQ to London and raise a Series A funding round.
